Fund to help disabled people get active

We've partnered with Toyota and the British Paralympic Association to create this new opportunity

We're committed to ensuring that everyone can take part in sport and physical activity and are working with disabled people to make sure that they have access to a range of quality opportunities to realise the many benefits that come from being physically active.

Up to £200,000 will be available in each year of the fund, with awards of between £1,000 and £5,000 to help ensure that when disabled people are active, they have access to quality equipment to help give them the best possible experience.

This is the first in a series of funding rounds focusing on different areas that we know impact the quality of experience – this round is looking at equipment.

The window for applications is now open and closes at 5pm on 20 December, 2019.

Further rounds in 2020/21 will focus on other areas.

Please be aware that we may close the application window early if demand for funding is significantly above the funding we have available.

To help people with their applications we've helped produced a guide that details the process and offers advice, including:

  • Who can apply for funding
  • What we want to fund
  • What we will not fund
  • How to prepare an application.
